I attended the Kimono de Jack Cherry Blossom Festival Cruise yesterday! (Oh, and did I mention that I’d dyed my hair bright green for St. Patrick’s Day? Cuz I did.)
This hat did not make it onto the boat…it was way too windy for that! But I still like it and will probably use it in another coordination in the future.
This is one of my favorite haori…Taisho silk with asanoha (hemp) pattern.
Tada! I tried using a lace eri on my kimono, and a skull and crossbones fabric for my haneri.
This was our cruise ship, which was glass-enclosed on all sides. Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms have not yet bloomed here due to the cold weather, but the cruise was still fun!
Our boarding photo.
Our group at our table. There was a live band which played the whole time, and they had a tambourine player! I should have requested a song haha.
A centerpiece at our table: a rose in water.
I had fun playing photographer with my food.
A kinchaku bag that one of the ladies was carrying.
I was gifted loquat-flavored sweets by one of the group members. I wasn’t expecting them to be so gelatinous, but they were cool. I also love the packaging!
Aren’t they cute? Each is the size of a fingernail.
