It’s been a super busy month for me. I got a job in the field which I have been studying (graphic design) only two weeks before graduating from university…so in the span of one week I graduated from school, found an apartment, moved 4 hours away, and started my new job. (Whew, I am worn out!) At the end of this first week being on my own, I finally have some time to sit down and write a new post!

Since I have been so busy, I haven’t had much time to wear kimono. Except for one time….at graduation!!! That’s right, I wore kimono and hakama for part of the day underneath my graduation robe. ^^ It’s traditional for girls who are graduating to wear kofurisode and hakama to their graduation ceremonies. I don’t own any kofurisode, but I did wear kimono with hakama!

(Sorry for the poor quality and lack of kimono shots, it was a busy day!)

I did rock some awesome spats with my outfit though!

The color of the graduation hood is determined by what you have studied in school. Art is brown. I can’t think of an uglier color combination that brown and black for artists! So I painted white designs on my brown velvet. šŸ™‚ Everyone thought it was really cool and I felt like it didn’t look too ugly anymore haha!

When I moved, I had to leave my kimono collection behind because I didn’t have enough room to pack them all. šŸ˜¦ I am debating on keeping them in storage at my old house or bringing them with me. Maybe bring only a few and keep the rest in storage? I don’t know when I will have time to wear kimono next, since I am still settling into my new job and living arrangement. Hopefully once everything settles down, I can resume wearing kimono on a regular basis! Don’t worry, I plan on keeping my resolution of wearing kimono once a month, But you won’t be seeing me till next month because of how busy I will be. šŸ˜‰
