KimonoHime Volume 10 Scans

I received my copy of KimonoHime Volume 10 about a month ago, but until now I haven’t had the chance to sit down and actually scan it. So now, just in time for Turkey Day (for those of you in the US), I present you with my labor of love:

Please see the scans on my Flickr: here

Since I wasn’t going to scan the whole book due to copyright issues and not wanting to keep people from buying the magazine, etc., I only did the coordination pages. Unfortunately the last few images were on a white background so the contrast was really high when I scanned them. I attempted to fix the images as best I could, but some of the pictures really do blend into the background in the actual magazine.

I love KimonoHime, I always get so inspired when I look at their coordinations! I actually hope to do an outfit for Christmas that has some serious KH vibes going on. I hope that for those of you who haven’t seen this magazine before will be inspired and go out and buy the actual hardcopy….there is so much more than what I have scanned. I only bothered with the fashion-shoot photos….there are tons of coordinations, interviews with kimono designers, and accessory pages that I didn’t show!

I’m glad to have finally been able to share this with you guys. Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Thank you for posting these scans. Some of the outfits are really great and inspirational. Totally makes me want to drag out my stuff and do a random photo shoot.

  2. You’re welcome! I know what you mean…just looking the the British coordination makes me want to do an outfit like it! I wish I could do a professional shoot with a KH-inspired outfit. Now if only I could find a photographer that wouldn’t think I was weird haha!

  4. Thanks! I got this copy from ebay when I found it at a cheap price, but you can get them from Yahoo Japan Auctions for about $5 USD each if you know where to look. I took photos of the subscription insert with my phone. Sorry for the quality, I haven’t had enough time to scan it yet:
